Micromag
was started in Lawrence, Kansas in 1995 by Anne Tangeman and
me. Not only was I the art director and designer, but I also
did some of the writing, edited every issue, sold the ads
and distributed this free zine - truly D.I.Y! Issue 8 was
the first one that we didn't collate and staple ourselves.
It was also the largest at 96 pages. One of my favorites,
this issue paid homage to vintage art school admittance tests
and contained my interview with Art Chantry and Anne's interview
with Joan Jett - two of our biggest influences.
